New Episode of The (title pending) Movie Podcast with Tank and Fogs!!

PodcastLadies and gentlemen, boys and girls…. allow me to present the latest and greatest (title pending)!

Tanski and I begin the show with our own interview for Google’s internship program, only we don’t fare quite as well as Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson did in their recent film, but oh well…

We then review both the major new releases this week (The Internship and The Purge) before heading into a discussion of our favorite “work” related movies! Inspired by “The Internship”, Tank and I search around for movies about people doing their jobs (who aren’t cops, doctors or lawyers) and discuss some of the best!

It’s a great episode and you won’t want to miss it! As always, you can download it directly, here, or search for us on iTunes or Stitcher radio by looking for (title pending) or Tank and Fogs!

  1. You guys sound as cool as I think I am. This was some smooth transitions between the two of you. That homage to Office Space could have been 30 min if you wanted; nice number 1. Just to point out that I think Tank meant to say ultimate for penultimate; I always get those two confused too. Very fine pcast.

Stan, Chotchkie’s Manager[Mike Judge, Office Space producer: We need to talk about your flair.

    Joanna(Jennifer Aniston): Really? I… I have fifteen pieces on. I, also…

Stan, Chotchkie’s Manager: Well, okay. Fifteen is the minimum, okay?

    Joanna: Okay.

Stan, Chotchkie’s Manager: Now, you know it’s up to you whether or not you want to just do the bare minimum. Or… well, like Brian, for example, has thirty seven pieces of flair, okay. And a terrific smile.

Joanna: Okay. So you… you want me to wear more?

    Stan, Chotchkie’s Manager: Look. Joanna.

    Joanna: Yeah.

Stan, Chotchkie’s Manager: People can get a cheeseburger anywhere, okay? They come to Chotchkie’s for the atmosphere and the attitude. Okay? That’s what the flair’s about. It’s about fun.

Joanna: Yeah. Okay. So more then, yeah?

Stan, Chotchkie’s Manager: Look, we want you to express yourself, okay? Now if you feel that the bare minimum is enough, then okay. But some people choose to wear more and we encourage that, okay? You do want to express yourself, don’t you?

    Joanna: Yeah, yeah.

Stan, Chotchkie’s Manager: Okay. Great. Great. That’s all I ask. :-)

    • LOL. That Chotchkie’s scene says so much about management. LOL  I have the picture of Aniston giving her boss the finger as part of my movie still screen saver. LOL Always makes me laugh. Probably the best moment of her career in my book.

Appreciate the kind words, I’d pass the ultimate/penultimate thing on to Tank, but that would probably rank like 80th on his list of malapropisms. LOL #1 of course would be his use of “forgetful” to substitute for “forgettable” LOL Shhhh don’t tell him. ;)

  2. Imagine my double take when I got the shout out, whoa. Thanks for that, don’t let the netbricks build into a wall. Another for the workplace list: The Apartment.

    • I haven’t seen that one actually. I wouldn’t have thought that movie is about work, considering the title and all….

Glad you got a kick out of the shout out. Netbrick is a good term, I hope it catches on. :D

  3. I’m just wondering when is it Rex Manning day over at Tank’s place of work. Really liked “Empire Records”, I managed a Sam Goody for a few years and loved every moment. I gotta agree with Fogs that “High Fedielity” was the last good John Cusack lead comedic performance.

    • Thanks Vern! Yeah, High Fidelity was the last Cusack movie where I felt I was watching something GREAT. You know?

I miss record stores. I understand why they went away, but those were some fun, fun places. :( At leat we’ll all always have “Empire Records” :D
