San Diego Comic-Con 2011: Game of Thrones Panel

Greetings from Hall H. Hell Hall. The room where the dude got stabbed in the eye last year.

I managed to make it in, after GoT sprang and I got Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca)’s autograph.

I know you all want to hear about the GoT panel. First thing is,it was awesome, and I got 95% of it on high def video. I’ll be posting it to You Tube next week and linking it to the site!!

Firstly, it was moderated by the author, George RR Martin. Andrew (Andrew@the cinema, see link in blog roll) I was wrong. He didn’t spoil a thing. In fact, he was a great moderator and almost completely unobtrusive, so hats off!

A strong representation from the cast, but the star of the show Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen), Peter Dinklage, (Tyrion Lannister), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau
(Jaime Lannister), Jason Momoa (Khol Drogo), and Kit Harington (Jon Snow)

It was pretty much your typical “What drew you to the role,” “What do you like about your character,” etc etc.

But Jason Momoa LIT IT UP. He was soooooo funny. He wore sunglasses in, like a superstar, but the real reason was he was in full out Drogo eye makeup!!

More later, Favreau Del Toro now.

Oh, but for Bruce

  1. I think this is the part where I realize that i don’t want my “willing suspension of disbelief” to be disturbed.

    • Nahhh. Trust me, you’ll want to watch that video once I post it up next week. It was a great panel. Not all Panels are created equal. That one was a super excellent one. Lots of fun, lots of good insight from the actors… it was really cool.

  2. All I can say is that Emilia Clarke’s lips should be declared a national treasure. Yes, in the US. I don’t care that she’s English.
