This week, Tank and I put on the Hobbit feet and trek into Middle Earth to discuss Peter Jackson’s return to the Shire in “The Hobbit”. We break down our feelings about the film, including a discussion of the new 48 fps format! It’s causing as much a stir as the film is, what did we think of it?
After which we discuss the start of awards season… the nominees for the first major movie awards for 2012 have been announced, the Golden Globes and the Sag Awards. We share our thoughts before heading into “On the Radar” to discuss a ton of new trailers that have been released this week!
What’s going on everybody? It’s Wednesday, which means a brand new episode of (title pending) for your listening pleasure!
It’s a slow week at the box office, with the only major new release being “Playing For Keeps”. I briefly get you up to speed on that, and then Tank and I each circle back with an update on a previous movie… he hits “The Collection”, while I cover “The Perks of Being a Wallflower”.
In order to compensate for Hollywood’s shortcomings, Tank and I invite Mr. Tim Keaty of the Surfing Aliens podcast to join us. Tim is the host of the infamous “Pop Culture Playoffs”, which Tanski won three times in succession, and is currently running the “Ultimate 100 Movies Project”. We discuss both of these, including Tankipedia’s reign as Pop Culture Galactus, and my… mildly controversial… respectfully opinionated… appearance on the “Ultimate 100 Movies Project”.
Then Tim hosts the most cutthroat game of “Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon” you’ll ever want to hear! LOL Tank and I go head to head in a TPMP showdown!
Hey what’s going on everyone? Tank and I are back with a brand new episode, and we set a new high water mark for the number of current reviews we cover for you.
Yup, after three weeks of theme episodes and a week off, we have a stockpile of movies to go through, a whopping NINE of them, in total. They are: Cloud Atlas, Flight, Wreck it Ralph, The Man with the Iron Fists, Lincoln, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Life of Pi, Red Dawn, and Rise of the Guardians!
I doubt we’ll ever squeeze so many current reviews into one episode again, folks. So check it out! We talk about almost every movie available at the megaplex in this one!

In this episode, Tank and I rank our favorite and least favorite Bond Girls, Villains, Theme Songs, Action Sequences and Movies! It’s a discussion that only the Bond series – with its lengthy history – could support! 50 years and 23 films, and Tank and I are here to break down all our favorites and most hated elements of 007’s canon!
We conclude with our review of “Skyfall”, Bond’s current offering! Will it live up to the hype? Tune in and find out!

We have a very special epsiode for you this week. This week, to celebrate the Horror Genre, our resident self-proclaimed “Big Horror Guy” Chris Tanski took to the streets and canvassed the vaunted “Horror Community”, trying to ascertain what people’s favorite Horror Movies of all time were! He obtained contributions from 13 different horror afficianados, including bloggers, fans, and horror magazine contributors in order to compile a listing of their 50 favorite Horror films!
A whopping 240 movies were nominated via this process, so the top 50 certainly had to earn their keep!
To help present the Top 50, we invite back Ben Scrivens of Fright-Rags.com, and first time visitor Jesse Bartel of Liberaldead.com. Together, the four of us list out 50-11, and then break down the top 10 in depth! What makes the cut? Which ones do Tank and I like unreasonably in comparison to others? How did your favorite horror movies fare?
Give a listen to find out!!

Hey everybody, we’re back! Sorry for the one day delay, Skype issues on recording night pushed us back a day 😦
But we’re here with a brand new, haunted episode for you! The TPMP studios has its share of supernatural activity… Tank and I attempt to ferret it out at the outset, but playing it back, I don’t think we were 100% successful.
We were, however, successful in reviewing “Paranormal Activity 4” and “Alex Cross”, this week’s pair of new releases. After, we launch into our Winter preview. Tank and I take a look at the schedule for the rest of the year, and discuss all the films that 2012 still has to offer us. And what a slate it is… a new Bond film, “Skyfall”, a new Peter Jackson Middle Earth movie, “The Hobbit”, and a new offering from Quentin Tarantino, “Django Unchained”! Plus a slew of other great movies of various size and scope between now and 12/31!
It’s another great episode of (title pending), you owe it to yourself to check it out! You can download it directly, here, or as always, look for us on Stitcher Radio and iTunes by searching for (title pending) or Tank and Fogs!
That’s right everyone, it’s the (title pending) Movie Podcast’s first birthday! In honor of the anniversary of our first show, Tank and I take a look back at the year that was, share some stories and some highlight clips, and then break out the bloopers, and a special song for each of us. It’s a fun, fun episode. I hope you’ll join in and check it out! For those of you who want to jump right to the festivities, they begin at the 48:00 mark 😀
That doesn’t stop us from covering all the latest going ons at the megaplex this weekend though, we still have the “Box Office Roundup”, “On the Radar” and our reviews of “Argo”, “Seven Psychopaths”, “Sinister” and “Here Comes the Boom”!
It really is a “Very Special Episode” of the (title pending) Movie Podcast! I hope that everyone will enjoy listening as much as we enjoyed putting it together!
Here you go everyone! Here’s the latest and greatest (title pending) to help get you through your week!
In this episode, Mr Tanski and I review all three of this week’s new releases, “Taken 2”, “Frankenweenie”, and “Pitch Perfect”!
And then for this week’s featured discussion, inspired by the “Taken” franchise, Tank and I turn our attention to “Revenge Films”. It should be a dark and serious discussion, but be sure to tune in for the curveball that Tank throws into the middle of the discussion. For what starts out as a pretty standard discussion of a sub-genre, we take a huge left turn and wind up cracking ourselves up. Don’t miss it!
It’s another spectacular episode of (title pending), you owe it to yourself to give it a listen! You can download it or listen to it directly from our Buzzsprout page by clicking here, or search for us on iTunes or Stitcher by looking for Tank and Fogs or (title pending)!

In our featured discussion of the week, we talk about “Looper” star Bruce Willis. Willis has had a storied career, stretched out over 3 decades now, and he’s given us a diverse range of offerings, from undeniable classics… truly some of the best movies ever… to extreme mail-in jobs that make you wonder if he’s just collecting a check.
