It’s time for another episode of The (title pending) Movie Podcast with Tank and Fogs!
In our box office round-up, we have plenty to say about the disastrous performance of “John Carter”, and then for our featured reviews, we discuss “21 Jump Street”, and “Casa di me Padre”.
Inspired by “Casa de mi Padre”, our featured discussion this week is focused on the career of Will Ferrell. Tank and I break down our impressions of him and discuss our opinions on most of not all of his major roles. From his days on SNL through the huge successes of “Anchorman” and “Talladega Nights”, we go over it all!
So be sure to check it out, you don’t want to miss hearing Tank try to speak Spanish!
You can download the episode directly here, or as always, search for us on iTunes!
As always, you can drop us feedback here, or give us a like on our Facebook page and keep up with the goings on all week long!

I love how on itunes, they are all marked explicit…..haha
I did that.
You have the choice, and lately we’ve let a couple of F bombs slip, etc.
Dont tell Tank though.
I fear where he’d take that creative license. LOL
Deb, if you’re on iTunes, leave us a review! Pleeeeeease?
Hey…if my kids see my itunes library, now they’ll think I’m cool. haha
review….yeah, I can do that!
I just listened to this weeks podcast. Awesome as always!
I did feel the need to help you out in poetry dept. So here you go:
He speaks for the trees it is said
Having to rhyme he always did dread
See his name was the Lorax
Which rhymed only with Borax
So he decided to change it to Fred
You’re welcome. LOL
PS Posted on Fb as well……itunes, pending…
HAHHAAHHAAA!!!
Better than listening to Tank’s dirty limericks!
Thanks for reminding me, I have to post to FB!
You got it. I posted a review to itunes, it didn’t show up…not sure if there is a delay or not?
Yeah, I think there’s probably some kind of lag so they can filter spam or something.
I’ll keep an eye out and let you know.
We definitely appreciate it Deb, those are proving hard to come by in the early going!
never mind…it’s there now….I am just impatient. (dasktor)
So 16 episodes into the experiment, I’m finally tuning in – and I’m really diggin’ what I’m hearing. You guys have a great chemistry between you and really hit the sweet spot between smart and funny (which isn’t easy in the podcastverse…if that’s even a term).
I like how you use the box office report as a way to lob ideas around about titles that have already opened…sort of gives you a few more kicks at the can. Most times I might think of something else I wanted to say after the fact but the episode where we talk about said movie is gone…and with it, the opportunity. Y’all have no such problem – great idea!
Looking forward to more, and to digging into the other fifteen.

Excellent Ryan, that means a lot coming from you! You’ve got what, like over 50 up, right?
I havent checked in in awhile, but I listened to a bunch when I first came across “The Matinee”, you have a really good show.
Still hoping to be able to do one with you, too, if you still have me on your guest list !
Tank and I are still tinkering with our own stuff actually, but we’re going to start having guests on eventually. Its tough starting up, we’re still going through basic issues like standardizing the format, discussion topics, that sort of thing. We have pretty much hit a nice comfort level with each other now though, so that’s really cool. Its fun to record!
Thanks for the kind words!
I have you in the batting order, but between new people I want to get on and returning people i want to get back it’s a bit of a long list. That sounds terrible, I know…but I promise you – I’m working on getting you on air.
For what it’s worth, tinker to your heart’s content. I’m recording episode 55 right now, but I think it took me until around episode 30 to really get things right (just one more reason why I’m in no hurry to get those archived episodes availible again).
So tinker, tinker, tinker. The only two things I can advise is that you remember you have an audience listening, and that you have fun doing them.
Oh yeah. We’ve got people listening. LOL. Getting feedback – most of it good.
And dont sweat it man, I totally understand. Just wanted to put a reminder out there, I know this stuff can be hectic, definitely.
Just now getting a chance to listen…my link went to your admin page on Buzzsprout. Was gonna try to mess with your title and description, but though better of it.
FYI
You can also customize your buzzsprout site if you want…something like tpmp.buzzsprout.com like I did with http://rediscoverthe80s.buzzsprout.com/
Anyway, Tank and Fogs will be helping me through my work day today!!
You were able to get in to our admin page?
That’s concerning…
Thank goodness its someone we trust, but… thats not cool. I just checked. That was my bad, I updated the wrong link. Fixed now!
Thanks for pointing that out Jay!
BTW
Love the HBO jingle in the transitions!
Old school, baby! That’s Tank’s idea…
Great show guys!
Thanks brotha!
And I should give you credit for noting that Thorax rhymes with Lorax. Indeed, it does.
Nice one guys.
“You stay classy, San Diego. ” – Ron Burgundy, Anchorman
Btw, the book you referenced is ‘Future Noir: The Making of Blade Runner’ by Paul M. Sammon http://www.amazon.com/dp/0061053147/.
Again, nice cast.
That could be the one.
I shall have to investigate… thank you in advance!
